The Emirates Oncology Society (EOS) hosted the “Best of ESMO Gulf 2025” on 22–23 November 2025 at the Grand Plaza Mövenpick Media City in Dubai. This hybrid oncology meeting brought together leading experts from across the Gulf region to present and discuss the latest clinical updates from the ESMO Congress 2025 held earlier in Berlin. The program featured advancements in breast cancer, GI oncology, GU malignancies, lung cancer, and global innovations shaping modern cancer care.

The Qatar Scientific Oncology Innovation & Networking Society (Q-SOINS) proudly represented Qatar at the event through the distinguished participation of its President, Dr. Salha Bujassoum. Serving as both a speaker and a session moderator, Dr. Salha highlighted the society’s mission to advance oncology practice, scientific innovation, and multidisciplinary collaboration in Qatar and the Gulf.

In her session, Dr. Salha presented key insights from the newly released ESMO 2025 updates, emphasizing the importance of evidence-based clinical decision-making, integrated oncology pathways, and expanding research partnerships. She also led discussions on region-specific challenges, including early detection strategies, the adoption of precision medicine, and the growing role of artificial intelligence and data-driven approaches in improving cancer outcomes across the Gulf.

Q-SOINS stated that its participation in this major scientific event aligns with the society’s goals to strengthen Qatar’s position as a regional leader in oncology education, innovation, and collaborative networking. Engaging with global experts during the conference supports ongoing efforts in survivorship programs, professional development, and public cancer awareness.

Dr. Salha and Q-SOINS expressed their enthusiasm for future collaboration with EOS and regional partners through joint workshops, innovative research opportunities, and educational activities designed to enhance oncology capacity in Qatar and the wider Gulf region.
